I went to Berkeley in the late Sixties, and managed to have a 4 BR house on 1/2 an acre with a pool without ever getting an actual job, nor owning an actual business. My twin sons are college superathletes, and still wonder how I can be in better shape than them at my age. Lotta swimmin': shtroke YOU all day & night! Oh, I sing sometimes: not bad, some say. Nothin' like a good duet, hmmm? Don' worry: I'LL getcha singin', awright!
Y'know gals, THAT'S the BIG mishtake people make. You don't FIND your dreams; they come to you! Bobby Darin had a great song, rarely played, called Nature Boy: the greatest thing you will ever learn is just to love and be loved in return. Not wined & dined, not ski lodged and boated, not tennised and bicycled! Alas, what the people who never saw the point of reading the great books don't see is that it isn't for what is in THEM that people read them, but for learning to tell what is going on around and inside you!so they are always blaming other people for their own mistakes, unable to see what they, themselves are doing for what it is. Everything their partner does is remembered crystal clear; everything they do, beforehand, is easily forgotten. Tell me what you would like. Let's see if we can work it out. You may think it's even crazier leaving than shtaying!
